Johnny DeVon McSwain, age 54, of Charlotte, died at his home on May 1, 2006 after a long, courageous battle with multiple sclerosis. ~Published in the Charlotte Observer on 5/4/2006
He was in the United State Marines, serving our country in Viet Nam.
Johnny died at his home on May 1, 2006 after battling MS for a long time. It hit me really hard as Johnny and I had reconnected after many, many years. He visited me at our shop at least once a week for awhile. We were able to reminisce about the good ole days at Harding and especially our football games when we were seniors. He was really proud of his linebacker days and unlike me remembered alot more about the games than I did. I wish I could have spent more time with him.
