We regret to inform you that Willie Wilks passed away in January of last year. His obituary was posted in The Charlotte Observer as follows:

"Mr. Willie "Willie Boy" Wilks, 67 of Charlotte, NC passed away on December 27, 2017. He was the son of Rosa B. Wilks; Companion of Janice Jones; Father of Stephanie Clay, Desiree Thompson, Marshall Lockhart and Maurice Jones; Brother of Mildred Audrey, Mary Wilmore, Dianne Wilks, Ricky Wilks, Kevin Wilks and Danny Wilks. Services to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the East Stonewll A.M.E. Zion Church, 1729 Griers Grove Road, Charlotte, NC. The Reverend Dr. Michael E. McLean, Pastor. Visitation: 11:00 a.m. Service 12:00 p.m. Alexander Funeral Home is serving the family.
