Man injured in motorcycle crash dies

A Winston-Salem man who was critically injured July 1 when he ran his motorcycle into another motorcyclist died Saturday, authorities said today. A toxicology report has not been completed.
Leslie Robert Kirk, 57, of 520 Petree Road died at a hospice in Monroe, police said.
Kirk was traveling eastbound on Clemmonsville Road just before midnight when he hit another motorcyclist who had stopped to make a turn onto Peters Creek Parkway.
Alcohol appeared to be a factor in the crash, according to an accident report.
The driver of the other motorcycle, Donald Hawkins of Clemmons, and his passenger, Kelly Hawkins of Clemmons, were not injured, police said.
