I believe that Sammy died on October 15, 1976. He dived at the rock quarry and was pronounced dead from drowning, but may have had a catastrophic injury in the dive that caused him to drown. He had been married and divorced. He had just married his second wife in August of 1976, Donna Denaux (West), HHS Class of '73.
